Drumming, Singing and Dancing are an integral part of Eskimo Culture. And is practiced at every large gathering. The songs are as varied as modern music although most are about hunting and the animals that have allowed our people to thrive for centuries. Some of the songs have been passed down through the generations and some are new. The drums are seal or walrus stomach stretched over a wood frame frame. Usually dancing is done in a line in front of the drummers. The dance is comprised of motions that represent activities relating to the song.
