The Men Dance The Yupik dancers’ regalia are very intricate and beautiful. The women dance with decorated headdresses made with beads and fur; dancing fans adorned also with fur, fancy beaded beaver belts and beaded necklaces. The men typically dance kneeling on the floor and use dance fans decorated with feathers, as opposed to fur. As speed of the dancing increases, the intensity of the motions increases. |
