The Native Village of Gambell is governed by a seven member Indian Reorganizational Act (IRA) Council which convenes on the 15th of every month or the following Monday, with an annual meeting held in December. Elections for the Tribal Council members are held in accordance with the procedures outlined within the Constitution and By-Laws.
