The Native Village of Savoonga is governed by a seven member Indian Reorganizational Act (IRA) Council which convenes on the 1st Wednesday of every month, with an annual meeting held in February. Elections for the Tribal Council members are held in accordance with the procedures outlined within the Constitution and By-Laws.
